At this point Disney is simply toying with Star Wars fans. After officially renewing Andor for a second season months before its initial release, adding Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Birds of Prey) to the Ahsoka show, and delivering an explosive amount of fan fare in the sixth episode of The Book of Boba Fett, the giant media conglomerate continues to tease fans with more and more pieces of the their most highly anticipated show, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
This time, Disney released to audiences on their twitter account the official poster for the show which shows a shrouded, rugged Ewan McGregor (Trainspotting, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace) as the titular jedi knight venturing into the desert.
According to the poster and a Disney Plus press release, the series will debut exclusively on Disney Plus May 25th and will pick up ten years after the climatic, explosive ending of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Joining McGregor in this new show from that movie is Hayden Christensen (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Jumper) who will be making his return as Anakin Skywalker (now of course Darth Vader). The series will mark Christensen’s first appearance as Skywalker since the impactful third movie.
Joining the two Star Wars icons are Joel Edgerton (It Comes At Night, Loving) and Bonnie Piesse (Love Eternal, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith), both reprising their prequel film roles as Luke Skywalker’s uncle and aunt. They are accompanied by.
