Miles Teller (Whiplash) is slated to replace Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name) in the upcoming Paramount+ series entitled The Offer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hammer exited the show at the beginning of the year following several sexual assault allegations from different women.
The ten-episode series will follow the making of The Godfather. Teller, who will serve as executive producer alongside the star, will play Al Ruddy, the producer of the titular film. Nikki Toscano (Hunters) and Michael Tolkin (The Player) will also serve as executive producers and writers. The former will serve as showrunner. Leslie Greif (Key To Tulsa), Ruddy, Teller, and Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) will also direct multiple episodes of the series.
The Offer was given a straight-to-series order in December for Paramount+ while The Godfather itself currently streams on NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform. The infamous film follows a crime dynasty’s patriarch handing control of his empire to his unwilling son. Teller previously appeared in the Divergent film franchise, War Dogs, and the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick.
