The master of horror strikes again. Ryan Murphy (Glee) is the twisted mind behind FX’s anthology series American Horror Story and now he’s working on something new. Murphy has released the first poster for the spin-off series American Horror Stories only twenty-four hours after sharing the first poster for season ten of AHS, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Posting to various social media platforms including Twitter and Instagram, Murphy shared the first poster for the upcoming anthology series to his millions of followers. See the poster below:

To say the poster insinuates terror is an understatement. The poster has everything AHS fans have come to know, including spiders, blood, and red lips. In classic AHS form, there are hands nodding to the black latex suit that became infamous in season one of American Horror Story: Murder House. The upcoming anthology series will also air on FX.
Along with the poster, Murphy wrote a tweet giving a synopsis of what American Horror Stories will entail: “It’s the AHS spin off. We are doing 16 one hour stand alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends and lore…”

It’s the AHS spin off. We are doing 16 one hour stand alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends and lore…many of these episodes will feature AHS stars you know and love. More to follow…

This new anthology series will follow a format horror fans of Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone are familiar with. Though there are still many unknown factors about the upcoming spin-off series and which stars will be featured in the episodes, rest assured it will be horrifying.
The first poster for American Horror Stories is welcome news as season ten of AHS has hit many roadblocks. What was originally supposed to be a summer shoot in 2020 was halted due to COVID-19. Now, things are looking up. Season ten will debut in 2021 and features many familiar faces along with some new. It’s returning stars include Kathy Bates (Misery), Sara Paulson (Ratched), Evan Peters (American Animals), Adina Porter (True Blood), and more. One notable new cast member is Macauly Culkin (Home Alone), who will make his AHS debut in the upcoming season.

As usual, the upcoming season is still shrouded with mystery. But, with every new photo Murphy shares there are always clues. With putting Provincetown, Massachusetts as the location, there is a little less darkness surrounding the next installment of AHS.
