Complex’s new series Sneakerheads debuts on Netflix next month, according to Deadline. Allen Maldonado (The Last O.G.) and Andrew Bachelor (Coffee & Kareem) will star in the six episode series. The show follows a former sneakerhead turned stay-at-home dad, Devin (Maldonado), who gets in money trouble when his friend, Bobby (Bachelor), gets him involved in a get-rich-quick scheme. This takes Devin out of retirement and back in the sneaker game.
Now, the two are down thousands of dollars and must find a way to make up the money before Devin’s wife finds out. They bring together a team of other sneaker enthusiasts in order to find Zeroes, the “holy grail” of sneakers. The shoes are extremely rare and hard to find so the team must work together and keep quiet around Devin’s wife.
Complex posted to their Twitter yesterday to share the news.
