The dark comedy Dead to Me will be renewed for its third and final season on Netflix, according to Variety. with this renewal, Netflix also announced that the series creator Liz Feldman (2 Broke Girls) has a deal with the streamer for new series or original content.
“Liz Feldman is a comedic force who brings her fresh and distinct point of view to every element of the creative process from inception through writing and producing,” said Netflix’s Jane Wiseman, vice president of comedy series via Variety. “We could not be more excited to expand our relationship with Liz and continue to work with her on ‘Dead to Me’ and future series to come.”
Christina Applegate (The Sweetest Thing) and Linda Cardellini (Scooby-Doo) star in this Netflix hit. It follows an unlikely friendship Jen Harding (Applegate) and Linda Cardellini (Hale), two women who bond over strange circumstances and tragedy. The show also stars Sam McCarthy (The Blacklist) as Charlie Harding, Luke Roessier (Riverdale) as Henry Harding, and James Marsden (Enchanted) as Steve Wood.
Dead to Me has been a Netflix hit since its premiere 2019, with Applegate earning both an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for her acting in season 1. Jessica Elbaum (Booksmart) and Will Ferrell (Robbie) of Gloria Sanchez Productions and Adam McKay (The Other Guys) alongside Feldman and Applegate executive produce the series; with Christie Smith (Kroll Show) and Cardellini co-executive producing.

There is no word on when season 3 will premiere to Netflix.
