Disney+ released a new teaser highlighting the new Phineas and Ferb movie according to Comicbook.com. This movie is the second television movie of the series since the special in 2015, O.W.C.A Files.
The upcoming film, titled Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe will be released exclusively on Disney+ taking place this Summer. At this moment, no official date has been given.
Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, revolves around the stepbrothers, along with their friends, and Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, on a mission in order to save the brother’s sister from a planet full of aliens via Entertainment Weekly. The movie will continue five years after the Summer that the series revolved around.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly creator Dan Povenmire regards, “It’s a different story than we often told with the show./” Povenmire said, “We decided we had never really put Candace in jeopardy and told any rescue stories that way.”
Much of the original cast will remain including bring back much of the cast from the show, including Ashley Tisdale (The Suite Liofe of Zack and Cody) as Candace Flynn, Vincent Martella (Everybody Hates Chris) as Phineas Flynn, Dee Bradley Baker (Avatar the Last Airbender) as Perry the Platypus, and Alyson Stoner (Cheaper by the Dozen) as Isabella. A new edition to the cast, David Errigo Jr. (I’m Not Ashamed) is now voicing Ferb.
