Former Disney Channel star Bella Thorne has signed a television developmental deal with the cable network Fox, according to Deadline. Currently, there are no details being attached to this new development deal between the network and Thorne. Yet, this partnership adds to an expanding list of deals between Fox and talents such as Jeff Davis (Criminal Minds and Teen Wolf), Kyle Killen (Halo) and Sarah Watson (The Bold Type). As time passes, details will begin to emerge concerning Thorne’s deal and the other development deals that other talents have with the cable network.
Thorne broke onto the television scene as a child actor on the Disney Channel original Shake It Up alongside Zendaya (Euphoria). The Disney series follows the two actresses as they win places as dancers on a local Chicago dance show. Shake It Up garnered much commercial success, effectively jumpstarting Thorne’s acting career. Since this exposure, the actress has appeared in various hit films and other television programs such as 2015’s The DUFF, Adam Sandler’s Blended, Netflix’s horror film The Babysitter, and Freeform series Famous In Love. In addition to being featured on the small and big screens, the actress has written best-selling novels (Autumn Falls series), in addition to releasing two extended plays and serving as an advocate for PETA and people for Dyslexia.
There is no figure attached to the deal between Fox and Thorne in addition to an absence of specific details on what the deal will be working towards. However, Thorne fans can rejoice to see the twenty-two-year-old back on the small screen and to work with a major cable network.
