Mark Sheppard will reprise his White Collar role for a major arc in the show’s fifth season, the Huffington Post reports.
Sheppard first appeared in the series’ pilot episode as Curtis Hagen, an art forger who ended up behind bars as a result of Peter and Neal’s first case together. He will return as Hagen for seven episodes in the next season, set to debut this fall.
Also known as “The Dutchman”, Sheppard’s character will team up with Neal to help Peter, who took the fall for a crime he did not commit at the end of the last season. The unlikely partnership, however, may cause Neal to fall back into his old life as a con man. “It’s so much fun to come back after four years and stir the pot a little,” Sheppard said of his return, calling it a “gift to be able to revisit a character like Hagen.”
A frequent guest star, Sheppard has appeared on a variety of television programs, from Chuck to Leverage to Doctor Who. He has also recurred throughout multiple seasons of Supernatural and Warehouse 13, both of which he is slated to return to this year.
