Years ago, U.K channel Sky Arts played the hit show A Young Doctor’s Notebook. Now, the U.S. has picked up the show, hoping its revitalization will bring in high ratings.
A Young Doctor’s Notebook shows the experiences of a country doctor in revolutionary Russia, explains Indiewire. Jon Hamm played the older version of Daniel Radcliffe’s character the young doctor, looking back on the experiences of his earlier self.
Ovation will air the show in a few months, though no exact date has been released. According to Deadline, the station has also picked up for a second series, which will see the snow-bound doctor’s tale (adapted from stories by Mikhail Bulgakov, of “The Master and Margarita” fame) continue with the arrival of a beautiful young aristocrat played by Margaret Clunie.
