The MCU is no stranger from deviating from the comic lore and adding their own creativity spin into the focus narrative. According to Comicbook, in the fifth and sixth episodes of the company’s latest series project, VisionQuest focusing on Ultron, played by James Spader (The Blacklist, Boston Legal), who was given control by Vision, played by Paul Bettany (Legion, WandaVision) to fight against Jocasta, played by T’Nia Miller (Obey, Sex Education).

According to Comicbook, one commenter goes on to state in the post, “Glad they’re still doing the Jocasta/Ultron romance. Wasn’t sure if they were gonna have it be more of a one-sided thing,” which shows that fans are finding this approach more appealing than the one represented in the comics. Another comment surrounding the couple goes on to state, “Ultron and Jocasta together could make ‘VisionQuest’ way more interesting than I expected.”
Although there are some comments expressing hope that the MCU will align with the comics—with one in particular stating,“The best part is that Jocasta isn’t just another random android. In Marvel Comics, Ultron created her to be his bride, but she eventually turned against him. The MCU could be setting up a seriously messy AI family reunion”
All current episodes of VisionQuest are available to stream on Disney+, with the final two episodes scheduled for November 3rd and 10th.
