Episode 4 begins with a young Cynda and her mother cooking a family recipe together. Returning to the present, we see adult Cynda and Chief Cromwell investigating the “all meat is murder” slaying. The two discuss the crime, with Cynda saying that two of the bodies were taken. She then says that Jiro is the only one who could have done something like this. Cromwell then says she has to find anything that can tie this to Jiro and bring him in before the feds arrive.
After Cynda talks with Pam and her sister about Jiro, we see Bob and Rose gearing up for their gang war and killing each other’s men in various ways. Back at the office, Cynda finds out that the AFF agents are taking over her case. She goes and confronts Cromwell, but he says his hands are tied, and that the case is now in the AFF’s jurisdiction.
She then goes and breaks into Jiro’s restaurant, but Jiro appears with a knife. After talking about this being her idea of justice, he does end up dropping the knife, and Cynda proceeds to arrest him and bring him in. On the way to the health department, she calls Cromwell, where he says the AFF came to the same conclusion that Jiro did it, and they also want him. He further tells her that the AFF has a safehouse setup, and that he’ll text her the address later before hanging up.
Cynda then brings Jiro to get something to eat, so they stop at Pig EZ. Jiro asks why they went there, but Cynda gets right into asking why he decapitated all the big wigs at The Summit, confronting him about the pristine cuts, and asking why he did it if he’s working for Bob, or if he’s playing both Bob and Rose.

After Bob and Rose get locked in a kitchen together, they fight and argue about the sabotage and murders. This is where they realize Jiro betrayed the both of them, which makes them form a truce. Back at Pig EZ, Cynda reveals that the restaurant used to be her family’s place before it was stolen from them by bandits who murdered her family. Whenever she becomes jaded or upset, she goes to the place to remind herself why she does what she does.
After Jiro and Cynda talk a little more and finish their meal, she gets a text of the safehouse location, and she brings Jiro there. Once they arrive, Jiro starts getting suspicious about the AFF agents, while Cynda talks with one about the asset releases. One suddenly bursts into the room and starts shooting, but Jiro uses one of the agents like a shield, kills the others, and saves Cynda, though he is injured. Cynda then uncuffs him and lets him go.
This one might have actually been one of the best ones so far. It felt like the most exciting one. One of the parts brought out a laugh, and that was then they killed one of the goons by overfeeding him with meat until his stomach exploded. It was interesting to see that Cynda’s family BBQ recipe (Peggy’s) was stolen and turned into Pig EZ. Took a little bit to realize that the restaurant’s name sounded like Peggy’s. You could tell that the AFF agents would be corrupt, but they drop a slight hint that the agents may have been involved in stealing Cynda’s family recipes, which was an interesting twist. Overall, this was a pretty good episode.
