Shortly after the season one premiere on August 5th, Sterling Point became one of Amazon’s top series. Prime Video announced that Sterling Point is renewed for a second season.
Season one follows Annie Jacobson, played by Ella Rubin (Until Dawn, The Idea of You), a 17-year-old New York City native raised alongside her twin brother by her devoted adoptive father. Her world changes unexpectedly when she inherits a remote island in Canada from her mysterious grandfather. As Annie explores her new home, she discovers unexpected friendships, evolving romances, and long-hidden family secrets.
The streamer has yet to share information about the storyline, cast, or premiere date of season two. However, the cast and crew have shared great excitement for the second season.
Co-showrunner Megan Park (The Old Ass, The Fallout) even went as far as to call the second season “the best second season ever!“ Additionally, Prime Video confirmed season two will be exclusive to the platform.
Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios head, Peter Friedlander, also announced how they were “thrilled to bring audiences back to the island for Season Two.”
Season one cast included Rubin as Annie, Amélie Hoeferle (Night Swim, Eddington) as Ramona, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie (A Colony, Billie Blue) as Ellis, Daniel Quinn-Toye (Voltron, Sunny Dancer) as Rory, Bo Bragason (The Radleys, Renegade Nell) as Oona, Keen Ruffalo (Nimrods, Thor: Ragnarok) as Connor, Jay Duplass (The Baltimorons, The Chair) as Steven, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead: Dead City) as Joe, Nikko Angelo Hinayo (Davey & Jonesie’s Locker) as Sully, Mabel Strachan (The Ridge, Revenge of Innsmouth) as Maple, Elle-Maija Tailfeathers (Night Raiders, Sweet Angel Baby) and Missi Pyle (Galaxy Quest, A Haunted House 2) as Denise Ballatine.
