Episode 5 starts with Lonnie and Sam on the side of the road, with the bus broken down. Lonnie has to get to a golf course, so decides he’s going to hitchhike. Somebody eventually stops for him, who turns out to be the man who is looking for Sam.

We then see Lance talking with Natalie about Lonnie being on Golf Digest and being put in the same rank as him. After some questioning between the two, Lance heads off to practice. Lonnie arrives at the course and runs into Golden Fisk. The two have a passive aggressive chat, with Fisk mentioning that he, Lonnie, and Lance are in the same pairing tomorrow. 

After Sam gets out of the mechanics shop with the belt to repair the bus, the man is out there waiting for her, and he tells her to get in the car for a chat. With this conversation, we learn that the man who has been following Sam is her dad, who is checking on her, and wants her to do some secret high-class poker stuff.

At a bar, Lance and Natalie avoid Lonnie while he speaks with Anton Floyd. The two discuss Lonnies rise, with Anton saying he will fumble again. After walking away, Stacy goes up to Anton to confront him about not getting back to her about her Teed off beverage. He says they are already sponsoring a beverage, until Stacy mentions that Lonnie would be upset if her business succeeds, to which Anton decides immediately to work with her. 

Sam then arrives at the bar, and Lonnie tells her about Tony Finau, whose wife just had a baby, which means he had to drop out. Because of it, his caddie, Gustavo Meyer (who Old Henry said was one of the best) is now available, meaning he now has one of the top caddies in the world. This upsets Sam, since he basically just dropped her because of Gustavo. She then leaves the party and drives off heartbroken. 

This episode was a little better than the last one. Honestly didn’t expect the guy following Sam to be her dad. The show so far is still alright, and none of the episodes have been inherently bad. This one also seemed like it had some more moments that were a little funny compared to the other episodes.
