Apple TV made its San Diego Comic-Con debut in the famous Hall H with a two-hour panel. Among the exclusive announcements from TV and film was the first look at new sic-fi series, Neuromancer. View the first official teaser below.

Series star Callum Turner (Green Room, Emma) surprised attendees virtually to announce the new teaser. Set in a cyberpunk future, Turner stars as Case, a super-hacker, who is thrust into a seedy web of digital espionage and crime. Partnered with his assassin friend, Briana Middleton’s (Sharper, The Tender Bar) Molly, Case seeks to pull an elite heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

Joining Turner and Middleton are joined by main cast Mark Strong (1917, Shazam!), Peter Sarsgaard (DTF St. Louis, Presumed Innocent), Joseph Lee (Beef, Star Trek: Picard) and Clémence Poésy (In Burges, Tenet). Supporting cast includes Max Irons (The Wife, The Host), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle, The Place Beyond the Pines), Junia Rees (Tell That to the Winter Sea, Firebrand), Jordan Kouamé (Malpractice, Scoop), Emma Laird (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, The Brutalist), Marc Menchaca (Ozark, Homeland), André De Shields (The Instigators, tick, tick…BOOM!) and Isabella Pappas (The Reckoning, Finding Alice).

The series is based on the debut novel by William Gibson, which has been praised as one of the first and most-respected works within the cyberpunk genre. Gibson’s work has accumulated many accolades including the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award and the Hugo Award. It was the first in the Sprawl trilogy, which was followed by Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive. 

Neuromancer is a Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content production created by showrunner Graham Roland (Dark Winds, The Returned) and fellow executive producer JD Dillard (Devotion, Sweetheart). They are joined by David Levine (Nickel Boys, Foe), Garrett Kemble (In waves, Remarkably Bright Creatures) and Zack Hayden (Boy Erased, Mr. Robot) with Anonymous; Aubrey “Drake” Graham (Euphoria, Nothing was the Same), Adel “Future” Nur (Slanted, Top Boy), and Jason Shrier (Saint X, Top Five) for DreamCrew Entertainment; and Gibson and Jennifer Haley (Mindhunter, Hemlock Grove) all as executive producers. Dillard will direct the first three episodes.

The series will premiere two episodes on January 22, 2027, with one episode released weekly through March 19, 2027.
