Apple TV has released a new trailer for The Dynasty: UConn Huskies, which is directed and executive produced by Matthew Hamachek (Tiger, Cartel Island) and Erica Sashin (Harry & Meghan, Why We Hate). The series will document the University of Connecticut’s (UConn) women’s basketball program and their legendary 40-year run under Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma.

Per the official logline, “The Dynasty: UConn Huskies is a sweeping three-part documentary event chronicling the rise of the most dominant program in college basketball history. Featuring exclusive interviews with the 2025 National Championship team and legendary voices spanning generations of UConn basketball, the series explores the pursuit of excellence, the expectations that accompany sustained success, and the people who upheld that standard across generations. Through never-before-seen archival footage and intimate access, the series digs into the obsession, pressure, sacrifices and ruthless culture that transformed a basketball program into an unrivaled phenomenon.”

The series looks to reflect on the program’s legacy and how it came to be, offering an in-depth look at the players involved through their conversations with coaches, alumni, rivals, athletes and journalists across the many generations of UConn basketball, which includes Sue Bird, Jim Calhoun, KK Arnold, Swin Cash, Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, Chris Dailey, Mickie DeMoss, Jana El Alfy, Rebecca Lobo, Shea Ralph, Jeff Goldberg, Sally Jenkins, Steve Kerr, Jackie Mac Mullan, Diana Taurasi, Tamika Williams-Jeter, Alex Phillippou, Semeka Randall, Jennifer Rizzotti, Breanna Stewart and Sarah Strong.

The Dynasty: UConn Huskies is produced by Skydance Sports, with Revue Studios and Learfield Studios executive producing. Alongside Hamachek and Sashin, Jason T. Reed (Deja Vu, Mulan), Jon Weinbach (Air, The Redeem Team), Lauren Gaffney (Great Performances, Nine for IX), Jesse Sissgold (Air, Rafa), Lindsey Kagawa (30 for 30, The Britney Griner Story), Jon Liebman (Ringer, Sorry For Your Loss), Zoe Rogovin, and Grant Jones (Screw You Cancer, America’s Best) are also listed as executive producers for the series.
