

During Anime Expo, the first trailer for the Star Wars: Visions spin-off limited anime series, Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi, was revealed. The Ninth Jedi originally aired as a short in 2021, but the new limited series will be eight full episodes by Lucasfilm. The talented team at Production I.G will provide animation for the project.

The exciting new limited series features Kenji Kamiyama (Eden of the East,The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim) as supervising director, with Shunsuke Tada (Arc the Lad, Noblesse: Awakening) taking on directorial duties. The series will be part of an all-new banner, which will be used to tell longer-form Star Wars: Visions stories. In the new series, the character of Lah Kara continues to train in the ways of the Jedi under Margrave Juro. Kara goes on an journey of self-discovery as she and Juro embark on a quest to save her father.
The voice cast for the series includes Kimiko Glenn (Centaurworld, Hazbin Hotel) as Lah Kara, Andrew Kishino (Steven Universe, The Bold and the Beautiful) as Juro, Masi Oka (The Meg, Get Smart) as Ethan, Patrick Seitz (Redline, Summer Wars) as Homen, JP Karliak (X-Men ’97, Minion & Monsters) as Gramps, and Simu Liu (In Your Dreams,The Copenhagen Test) as Lah Zhima. Neil Kaplan (Spider-Man 3, DC: Dark Legion) returns to voice The Narrator. The new English voice talent includes Feodor Chin (Baby, Uncle From Another World) as Gennoh, Young Mazino (Beef, The Last of Us) as Nawaam, Chase Sui Wonders (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Bodies Bodies Bodies) as Tafflah, and Keone Young (Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, American Dragon: Jake Long) as Kwana.
