Deadline reported in an exclusive that actor François Arnaud (Midnight, Texas, Yamaska) will join the cast of Hulu’s upcoming limited series Count My Lies. The series is based on author Sophie Stava’s debut thriller novel of the same name.
Arnaud’s character is named Danny, says Deadline, and he will work closely as a friend to Lindsey Lohan’s (Mean Girls, The Parent Trap) character, Violet Lockhart. Additional ensemble cast includes Shailene Woodley (Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars) as lead character Sloane Caraway, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Pompeii) as Jay Lockhart, Lou Diamond Phillips (Courage Under Fire), The Pitt’s Katherine LaNasa (The Campaign, Valentine’s Day), and Sophia Bush (John Tucker Must Die, One Tree Hill).
From Deadline, the plotline:
“When compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart (Harington), it seems she’s finally landed her dream job. But little does Sloane know, she’s just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode – with potentially catastrophic consequences for all.”
Count My Lies, per Deadline, is written/executive produced/showrun by Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us, I Want You Back) and Issac Aptaker (This Is Us, Love, Simon). Through The Walk-Up Company, Scott Morgan, Woodley, Lohan, Berger, and Aptaker serve as executive producers. Stava is also credited as a producer on the project. The series’ studio is 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios and where Berger and Aptaker are under an overall deal.
Arnaud gained steady popularity and widespread acclaim with the role of Scott Hunter in the commercial hit and Peabody-winning HBO Max series Heated Rivalry – For this role, he won the Canadian ACTRA Awards for Members’ Choice Series Ensemble and Outstanding Performance in TV. Notable TV credits, listed by Deadline, include Showtime’s Yellowjackets as Paul, NBC’s Blindspot as the character Oscar, and the role of Cesare Borgia in Showtime’s historical drama series The Borgias. He can be next spotted in HBO Max’s limited series Alice, Abril from Hernán Jiménez (Love Hard, Elsewhere), and Wiebke von Carolsfeld’s (Angelique’s Isle, Eisenstein) Someone’s Daughter.
Via Deadline, Arnaud is represented by Brecheen Feldman Breimer, Independent Artist Group, and Impression Entertainment.
