The intro of the highly awaited third season of My Adventures with Superman was recently released and with it tease the major antagonist that the titled kryptonian and his friends will be facing. According to Comicbook, the previous season finale ended with Superman, voiced by Jack Quaid (The Boys, God of Wars Laufey) and his cousin, Supergirl, voiced by Kiana Madeira (Fear Street: Part Three – 1666, Trinkets) having stopped Brainiacs from conquering Metropolis and bringing peace for the time being.

Reported by Comicbook, the intro opens up with a cheerful atmosphere and the gang having a a fun time, but then the tone changes to a more serious with them having to face an army of villians which seems to include Mr. Mxyzptlk, voiced by David Errigo Jr (Ranma 1/2, X-Men ’97); Amanda Waller, voiced by Debra Wilson (Among Us, Marvel Zombies) and the main villain being cyborg superman, voiced by Max Mittelman (Seven Deadly Sins, One Punch Man).

It remains unclear how either the mysterious robot or Superboy, voiced by Darren Criss  Glee ,Hazbin Hotel), will be introduced into the story, which details surrounding their appearances have been kept tightly under wraps, and what arts they will play in the upcoming season. Additionally, there has been no official confirmation regarding the fate of Superman, and it remains uncertain whether the Man of Steel will meet his demise or survive the events of the story.

The series showrunner, Jake Wyatt (Steven Universe, Pantheon) goes to speak in an interview with Comicbook about his plan for the series and releasng onto Adult Swim alongside the platform release,” I wanna be clear, the studio was always super supportive and ready to make it. We just needed the stars and the bank accounts to align.”

Jack Quaid also adds his own commentary within the interview and expressing his gratitude, “I just wanna thank the fans for their patience on that because the fans have been really amazing. It’s a really great season. I’ve seen some of it. It’s really funny, but the stakes are also so much higher.”

Season three is scheduled to makes it superhero landing debut on June 13, while fans await both season one and two of My Adventures with Superman are available to stream on HBO Max
