Episode 6 starts with Everyone being brought to The Manor with masks over their heads. We then see Wally telling everyone that Blaine cut a deal. Go back to their lives, in exchange for giving up the monster hunt, never say a word, and they have to stay at the Boroughs. Finally, Wally has to work for them, or they will be brought back to The Manor. While everyone else says no, Wally reveals that he already took the deal, saying it was foolish to try and stop them.
After we see that everyone has ankle monitors, or is being watched by security, Wally is brought into a lab and greeted by Blaine and the team. Annaliese tries to give Wally some of the juice, but he refuses until being cheered on by everyone. After a vision of Lily in the tv’s, Sam goes and tells Art that he can’t live like this, and that he has to get out. Art reminds him about their every move being watched, but Sam points out how they aren’t watching the desert.
Back at the party, Wally learns from a guy named Ernest that the creatures are called “kids.” When Wally asks why, Ernest replies with “every mother has kids.” He is then told by Blaine that his job is to save a special patient, otherwise they will all die. Blaine is then brought into a room to meet the patient, mother.
Renee runs into Paz, who tells her of the plan to get out. The 75th anniversary is this weekend, and security will be stretched thin, giving them the best chance to get away. After Sam manages to override and remove the ankle monitor, Wally explains to Renee that the Boroughs is a cover for the “Mother” creature, who needs to consume brain fluid in order to stay alive, have kids, and supply Blaine and his team with blood to live forever.

Renee and Paz then go tell Judy about the plan, but Renee has a deviation from it. She explains that amidst the chaos of the anniversary party, they are going to sneak down and kill Mother. Sam walks across the desert to the diner to call Claire, and explains that they are all in danger, mentioning Blaine, the monsters, and the tunnels. Claire meets Sam in the morning, who agrees to take him back home. While he’s sleeping, she winds up bringing him back to The Boroughs, and Sam is brought to The Manor.
This episode didn’t feel as crazy as the other ones, but it was still a good episode, nonetheless. Still intriguing, especially as Wally could either save Mother, or he might help the gang kill her (maybe he’ll realize eternal life isn’t worth the deaths of countless others, and the apparent suffering of Mother). We’ll just have to see.
