It’s been a couple of days since we witnessed the series finale of The Boys. However, the story is not over yet because Prime Video has dropped an official first look of its prequel show Vought Rising.
For those who don’t know, Vought Rising will give us insight into the word of Vought years before the creation of “The Seven.” We will get a glimpse into Soldier Boy and a group of other “Supes” who have been injected with the first iteration of Compound V. The series will take place in 1950s New York, where we see a young Soldier Boy sign himself up to be a hero for his country. However, behind closed doors we will see what Vought is willing to do in order to create the next product. In the trailer we see a black man who is injected with Compound V and ends up busting out of a black sight facility and uses his powers for the first time. In true “Boys” fashion there will be blood, violence, and some satirical jabs made towards 1950s society.
The cast consists of Jensen Ackles (Tracker, The Rookie), Aya Cash (Kill Me, The Floaters), Will Hochman (Boston Blue, Visitors), Rohan Mead (Warrior Strong, Under the Banner of Heaven), Glenda Maclnnis (Five Days at Memorial, Cider and Sunsets), Katherine Winter (Lady in the Lake, Billions), Clem McIntosh (The Slack, Crustaceous), Brett Wolfe (To Philly with Love, Deadly Science), Maia Thron (Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, My Sister’s Double Life), Trevor Benham (Cold Blood, 8 Million Dollars), Mason Dye (Stranger Things, The Goldbergs), Mark Pellegrino (The Last Thing He Told Me, Je Suis Hamlet), Elizabeth Posey (Resisting Roots, Heels), Eric Johnson (Saint-Pierre, The Players), Chad Willett (Off Campus, Broken Diamonds), David Hewlett (Misletoe Murders, Do Us Part), Raphael Sbarge (The Beast in Me, The Diplomat), Aaron Douglas (Web of Life, Stick), and Josh Randall (Untamed, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga).
We will get a chance to watch the show in the year 2027. The first look can be viewed on Youtube and you watch The Boys in its full entirety on Prime Video.
