

Netflix’s basketball comedy series Running Point, comes back with a second season. We will continue to see Isla Gordon and her LA Waves grow and soar to new heights in this new season.
For those who don’t know, Running Point tells a story about Isla Gordon who was overlooked her whole life. She partakes in the family business where she is the president of the basketball team name the LA Waves. Her brother was meant to be in charge but was sent to rehab to deal with his addiction, so Gordon aims to prove that she is the right choice and silence the naysayers who doubt her abilities. According to Deadline, the teaser showed some guest appearances in the form of Octavia Spencer (Smurfs, Tow), Lisa Rinna (Mommy Meanest, Lopez vs. Lopez), Nicole Richie (Paris & Nicole: The Encore, #CandidlyNicole), Scott Speedman (RJ Decker, Grey’s Anatomy), and co creator of the series Ike Barinholtz (The Studio, Celebrity IOU). In the teaser we see Gordon’s brother is seen making a return to the office so that he can claim his seat back. The teaser also shows a stadium falling apart and news headline reading “Isla’s Crumbling Empire?,” giving us the assumption that Gordon’s place as the President of the LA Waves is being placed under question.
The cast consists of Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue, Finneas: 2001), Brenda Song (Operation Taco Gary’s, Zootopia 2), Drew Tarver (Stirp Law, Haunted Hotel), Scott MacArthur (Rooster, Universal Basic Guys), Fabrizio Guido (Good Burger 2, Perry Mason), Toby Sandeman (The Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas, The Game), Uche Agada (Running Point, Rise), Chet Hanks (It’s Florida, Man, Dead Wrong), Jay Ellis (All Her Fault, The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy), Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood, A Man on the Inside), Justin Theroux (Seekers of Infinite Love, Fallout), Dane DiLiegro (Only Murders in the Building, Coyotl: Hero and Beast), Ray Romano (The Best You Can, Bookie), and Justin Hurtt-Dunkley (The Empty Chair, Ghosts).
The second season is set to premiere on April 23, 2026. In the meantime, you can binge the first season of the show on Netflix in order to catch up.
