After publicly calling out his label and HBO’s Euphoria, British music artist Labrinth (The Lion King: The Gift, “Elliot’s Song”) posted audio to an untitled song on his Instagram page. The song, which is reportedly titled “Prostitute,” is allegedly from the third season’s soundtrack, causing fans to speculate this is alleged proof that Labrinth has parted ways from the Sam Levinson (The Idol, Malcolm & Marie) series. The series, which Levinson announced is in the editing process, is set to premiere on April 12. View the IG post below.

On Feb. 13, Labrinth posted the words “IM DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY. FUCK COLUMBIA. DOUBLE FUCK EUPHORIA. IM OUT. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X.” With this new post, online sleuths are piecing a narrative that Labrinth allegedly fell out with his record label and the series, which he has composed the soundtrack for since season one.

However, running simultaneous to this story is the claim that this is the latest in an alleged series of stunts in a unknown marketing campaign for the show. For months, many have speculated that Warner Bros. was allegedly not satisfied with the publicity for the show’s third season. Some are even stating the song is not from the show, but an alleged unreleased Labrinth track allegedly describing his current attitude toward the industry.
Yall think Labrinth leaking the Euphoria soundtrack is a PR stunt & don’t get me wrong it seems it too, but if anything this further fuels the narrative that he’s DONE because I don’t recall him ever leaking music. https://t.co/srB7OkqgDD pic.twitter.com/Z79bOOvqi1

This latest buzz isn’t the first time the series has encountered unfavorable press. At the close of the second season, rumors of toxicity on set led to the departure of main cast member Barbie Ferriera (Nope, Unpregnant), who played Kat. There was also the unfortunate losses of Angus Cloud (The Line, The Garfield Movie) and Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, Countdown), who completed filming for season three before his death this year.
Regardless, the third season of the Emmy-winning series, led by Zendaya (Dune II, Spider-Man: Homecoming), premieres April 12 only on HBO and HBO Max.
