

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tommy Lee Jones (No Country for Old Men, Men in Black) will join the cast of FX’s The Lowdown for its second season. Jones has joined the critically acclaimed FX series from Reservation Dogs showrunner Sterlin Harjo (Four Sheets to the Wind, Barking Water). Currently, there is no information on the role he will be playing in the series. Jones is the second new addition to the show, following Betty Gilpin (Death by Lightning, GLOW), who was recently cast.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the first season of he series followed citizen journalist and self-proclaimed “truthstorian” Lee Raybon as he worked to uncover corruption in Tulsa, Oklahoma, focusing on the powerful Washberg family and its patriarch who is running for governor.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast of the series includes Ethan Hawke (The Black Phone, Dead Poet Society), Keith David (Hazbin Hotel, The Princess and the Frog), Jeanne Tripplehorn (Sliding Doors, Basic Instinct), Tim Blake (Old Henry, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs Nelson), Ryan Kiera Armstrong (The Tomorrow War, The Art of Racing in the Rain), Michael “Killer Mike” Render (Venom, Big Bruh), Kaniehtiio Horn (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Embrace of the Vampire), Tracy Letts (A House of Dynamite, Lady Bird), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, The Toxic Avenger) and the late Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves, Die Hard with a Vengeance).
As per The Hollywood Reporter, FX renewed the series for a second season back in January and is set to begin production in the spring in Tulsa. FX Productions is behind The Lowdown; Harjo executive produces with Garrett Basch (Klara and the Sun, My Dinner with Herve), Ethan Hawke, Ryan Hawke (First Reformed, The Good Lord Bird), Duffy Boudreau (Hit-Monkey, Barry) and Scott Teems (The Evening Sun, Insidious: The Red Door).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Lowdown will mark the first time since 2011 that Jones has worked on a television series since HBO’s The Sunset Limited. Jones is also known for his roles in the Men in Black franchise, Small Soldiers, Batman Forever, Space Cowboys, Man of the House and many more.
