With Apple TV working on the fifth season of The Morning Show, we have received word that Jeff Daniels (Shrinking, The American Revolution) will be joining the fifth season. We will continue to see the lives of the characters as they navigate through the inner workings of The Morning Show. 

For those who don’t know, the series tells a story of modern morning news show that has suffered from a chaotic fallout involving a top anchor who was fired for sexual misconduct. In season four, there had been a UBA-NBN merger had come to completion, the newsroom had to come to terms with newfound responsibility, hidden motives, and the elusive nature of polarized America. According to Deadline, Daniels is a two-time Emmy winner for his involvement in The Newsroom and Godless. This will not be his first Apple TV project for he stars as Jason Segel’s (Mooned, Windfall) dad in the series Shrinking.

There has been no new trailer for the fifth season so we will have to keep our eyes peeled. In the meantime you can watch the first four seasons of the series on Apple TV.
