TVline reports Eric Guggenheim (Magnum P.I, Miracle), who has been the showrunner on CBS’s Hawaii Five-O and Magnum P.I., will be the new showrunner for the fifth season of Fire County. CBS announced recently that Tia Napolitano (Station 19, Grey’s Anatomy) is not returning to the show after starting with it in 2022.
“Tia has been instrumental in helping both build and steer Fire Country, which not only became a top series, but is also the foundation of a growing universe,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios President David Stapf announced in a dual statement via TVline. “We’re grateful for all her contributions and tireless work, and look forward to collaborating with her on future projects.”
TV Line got an interview with Napolitano stating, “I am beyond proud of the past four seasons of Fire Country. All of my gratitude to our cast, crew, writers, producers, fans, and of course CBS and CBS Studios. It’s been a beautiful ride!”
According to TV Line, Fire Country stars Max Thieriot (The Pacifier, House at the End of the Street) as Bode, a jailbird offered to firefight in his hometown of Edgewater to reduce his jail sentence. Returning to Edgewater forces him to face grip with his golden boy past and his current fall from grace. While being a firefighter, Bode has been released out on parole. Supporting cast of Fire County are Kevin Alejandro (Adult Night, Arcane) who plays Manny, Diane Farr (Palm Swings, About Cherry) who plays Sherry, Jordan Calloway (Drumline: A New Beat, Always A Bridesmaid) who plays Jake, Jules Latimer (Guilty Party, Rustin) who plays Galloway, Stephanie Arcila (Don’t Breathe 2, Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels) and Billy Burke (Twilight, Lights Out).
