According to the Hollywood Reporter, executive producer, Ryan Murphy (The Shards, Monster)will be releasing a dramatic love story on the FX network.  Love Story: John F Kennedy Jr & Carolyn Besette. Actor Paul Anthony Kelly (Body Language, the Venery of Samatha Bird) will star as John F Kennedy Jr along side of tony-nominee Sarah Pidgeon (Tiny Beautiful Things, The Wilds) portraying Carolyn Bassette Kennedy.

Inspired by the book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy written by Elizabeth Beller. The show’s synopsis reads, “It was a love story that captured the attention of the nation: John F Kennedy Jr. was the closest thing to American royalty. The country watched him grow from a boy to a beloved bachelor and media sensation. Bessette was a star in her own right. Fiercely independent and with a singular style, she rose from being a sales assistant to an executive at Calvin Klein and became a trusted confidante of its eponymous founder. John and Carolyn’s connection was immediate, electric and undeniable. As their love story unfolded on a national stage, the intense fame and media attention that came along with it threatened to rip them apart.” As stated by The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that other cast members include, Grace Gummer (All’s Fair, American Horror Story) playing Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts (The Watcher, Too Much) will be portraying Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and Allessandro Nivola (Downtown Abbey: the Grand Finale, Kraven the Hunter) as Calvin Klein, Leila George (The Beast in Me, He Ain’t Heavy) as Kelly Klein and Sydney Lemmon (The Drama, Naked in the Park)as Lauren Bessette and finally, Constance Zimmer (The Lincoln Lawyer, Fire Country) as Ann Marie Messsina.

The first three episodes of the series is scheduled to premiere on FX February 12 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET than it will be streaming on Hulu and Desney+. The rest of the nine episodes will start to drop weekly after the premiere.
