

Apple TV has officially sent shockwaves through the Monsterverse with a thunderous new teaser for the second season of its acclaimed sci-fi drama, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Reported by Apple, the teaser not only shows the appearances of Godzilla and Kong, but introduced a terrifying new player to the board: the enigmatic codenamed Titan X, which was shown as a massive, bioluminescent force that break through the ocean’s surface. The creature is described to as a living cataclysm and will be the centered subject in the upcoming second season.
Reported by mxdwn, the plot of the second will follow after the pulse-pounding finale of season one, in which Cate, played by Anna Sawai (Shogun, F9) May, played by Kiersey Clemons (The Flash, Cloud 9) and Keiko, played by Mari Yamamoto (Tokyo Vice, Kate) return from Hollow Earth, but soon realize that several years have gone by and that the Monarch has become a worldwide operation. What we currently know about what about to happen is that a young Lee Shaw, played by Wyatt Russell (Thunderbolts, Overlord) embarks on a critical mission to go behind enemy forces line and to stop the release of a world ending threat.
Stated by Apple, other guest stars that will revealed in the upcoming season includes Takehiro Hira (Shogun, Yasuke), Amber Midthunder (Prey, Avatar: The Last Airbender), Curtiss Cook (The Chi, Breaking Point) and Dominique Tipper (Vampire Academy, MindGamers), whose roles have yet to be announced.
As these titans continue to clash with one another, it is certain that the earth will face a profound and devastating impact. Time will reveal the extent of this transformation.
