With Stranger Things at an end, the series as a whole has managed to change its place on the viewership charts. The series finale debuted on December 29, 2025 and in select theaters on the. same day and January 1, 2026. According to Deadline, the series managed to enter the Most Popular English TV list as the ninth spot with 105.7 million total views.
According to Deadline, Netflix had a complex method when it came to calculating the views while the season was split. Netflix measured the viewer consumption of each batch of episodes for over 91 days of release. For the first Volume, the views were not counted until February 24, Volume Two’s views wouldn’t be counted until March 25, and the finale’s views wouldn’t be counted until March 31. This would mean that Netflix would have to count and calculate the views during the release window and beyond in order to find the total number of views. Netflix would also need to factor in the total viewership of the series finale that aired in select theaters.
The cast of the series consisted of Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Gone in the Night), David Harbour (Marvel Zombies, A Working Man), Finn Wolfhard (The Legend of Ochi, Saturday Night), Millie Bobby Brown (The Electric State, Damsel), Gaten Matarazzo (Haunted Hotel, Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy), Caleb McLaughlin (The Deliverance, Sacrilege: Curse of the Mibirwi), Natalia Dyer (All Fun and Games, Chestnut), Charlie Heaton (Billy Knight, The Souvenir: Part II), Joe Keery (The American Revolution, Fargo), Noah Schnapp (The Tutor, Hubie Halloween), Cara Buono (Things Like This, V13), Sadie Sink (O’Dessa, A Sacrifice), Priah Ferguson (Kabu, Hamster & Gretel), Maya Hawke (Inside Out 2, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur), Brett Gelman (Haunted Heist, Lady in the Lake), Randy Havens (Grosse Pointe Garden Society, Scare Tactics), and Jamie Campbell Bower (Emmanuelle, Witchboard).
All five seasons of the series can be viewed on Netflix.
