Previously on Prime’s The Summer I Turned Pretty, Conrad (Christopher Briney) flew to Paris to declare his love to Belly (Lola Tung). Jeremiah’s (Gavin Casalegno) dad cut him off financially. And Jeremiah and Belly find closure.
The series finale begins with Conrad finding Belly’s place. When he calls her name, she freezes. Awkwardly, the two of them make plans to hang out together for the day.
Belly takes Conrad around the city, showing him all of the famous destinations. Conrad tells her that he’s always thought about what her lifestyle was like, living in Paris. She takes him to a rooftop to look at Paris in a different way than they did on the tour. They discuss the start of her time there and how she had to adapt to her new lifestyle. She invites him to her pre-birthday dinner with her friends.
Denise (Isabella Briggs) gives Jeremiah a boost of confidence as he prepares his business. She tells him that she’s moving to California for her business with Steven (Sean Kaufman). Taylor (Rain Spencer) overhears and gets upset, thinking that Steven wants to break up with her. Denise tries to calm her down.
When Steven shows up, Taylor starts to talk about their future, trying to pry. Suddenly, she gets a text that she’s lost her entire waitstaff for the dinner.
Back in Paris, Belly introduces Conrad to her friends. They all immediately welcome him with open arms, getting to know him while eating. Belly’s friend and ex-boyfriend, Benito, tries to intimidate him, but Conrad just ignores him. Conrad gifts her a bottle of sand from Cousins Beach for her birthday, to bring “a little piece of Cousins” to her.
Back in Cousins, Adam (Tom Everett Scott) shows up uninvited to Jeremiah’s event. Adam brings wine from the called-off wedding, which Jeremiah accepts hesitantly.
Steven and Taylor talk about California. He didn’t tell her because he didn’t want to hold her back if she didn’t want to move with him. She tells him that he doesn’t have to worry about that; she wants to move with him.

Later, Jeremiah and Denise talk about Conrad, Steven, and Taylor. After Denise compliments him on how talented and good-looking he is, Jeremiah kisses her. After the event, Denise, Steven, Taylor, Laurel (Jackie Chung), Adam, and John (Colin Ferguson) celebrate Jeremiah’s success.
After Belly’s, she and Conrad walk around the city. Before heading home, she takes him near the water where the two dance. The two of them kiss and spend the night together. Early in the morning, Belly acts distant, trying to rush him to go to Brussels for his conference. He tells her he’s there because he’s still in love with her, and that it will never change. She tells him that she doesn’t know if she feels the same, so he leaves for his train.
Belly has a change of heart after receiving a picture of herself as a little girl from Laurel. She realizes she still loves Conrad. She rushes to the train station to find him, eventually getting on his train. After frantically searching, she finally finds him. She says that she chooses him, showing him that she’s wearing the infinity necklace. They embrace each other.
After a couple of years, Belly finally comes back home to Cousins, with Conrad by her side.
Overall, this was a great episode to end this amazing series. It’s been so fun and emotional watching the talented roles of Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah, Steven, and Taylor. All of the ups and downs have been a whirlwind, and this episode topped it all off. It’s nice to see that Conrad and Belly were finally able to share their love for each other at the end. Not only them, but Jeremiah and Denise are now together, making each other happy. Steven and Taylor are in a much better place than they were before, agreeing to move to California together. The Summer I Turned Pretty has been an incredible series, and the ending was perfect.
