Fans of the Marvel franchise Daredevil were teased ahead of the premiere of the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Given that the series has already promised us both Daredevil, played Charlie Cox (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo), and Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter (Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Breaking Bad), it isn’t a farfetched notion to expect to see the other half of Netflix’s The Defenders eventually return as well.
According to Screenrant, Mike Colter (Evil, Plane), who played Netflix’s Luke Cage, has been playfully dodging questions of his character’s return and has responded with a vague statement,“I don’t know why people keep asking me this. There’s no signs. It’s not like they’ve just recently revived one of the Marvel Netflix shows.” While nothing is officially confirmed, Colter’s tease adds significant fuel to the fire and the prospect of a full-fledged Defenders reunion is closer than ever.

Reported by Screenrant, what we currently know about the main plot for the second season is that Matt is rallying other vigilantes within New York in order to combat Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk’s army, played by Vincent D’Onofrio (Hawkeye, Men in Black) and to bring order back to the city.
This news follows the report that both Finn Jones (Game of Thrones, Leatherface), Marvel’s Iron Fist, and Colter were both in New York City at the time of filming of season two. Speculation of their inclusion was stronger than Power Man himself.
While viewers await on further information surrounding the upcoming second season, the entire first season of Daredevil: Born Again, as well as other series in the Marvel franchise are available to stream on Disney+.
