According to Deadline, Saturday Night Live will be adding five new cast members to season 51. Even with the exit of four cast members, Heidi Gardner (The Swimming Lesson, Shrinking), Devon Walker (Fame and Other four Letter Words, Big Mouth), Emil Wakim (Black Market with Michael K. Williams, Busted!) and Michael Longfellow (Good Burger 2, How to Be Broke), season 51 will have a larger cast than the prior season SNL 50.
According to Deadline, Ben Marshall (Poker Face, The Best Man’s Ghostwriter), the creator and one of the founders of the digital video series, Please Don’t Destroy, will be one of the five newcomers joining SNL for season 51. Tommy Brennan (Roommates-In-Laws), Jeremy Culhane (Middle School Talent Show, Important Things of Great Importance), Kam Patterson (Busboys, Kill Tony), and Veronika Slowikowska (Poker Face, Get Together-ers) are among the actors that will be joining SNL, along with Marshall.
Deadline mentioned that the future new cast members have extensive comedy experience from a variety of shows. The new face of comedy show, Just For Laughs, featured Brennan in 2023. He also performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Culhane was a regular on CollegeHumor, which is now known as Dropout TV. Culhane has also performed in the comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. The stand-up comedian, Kam Patterson, was a regular and performed live on Kill Tony, which has aired on Netflix. Patterson can also be seen in the comedy film 72 Hours, starring Kevin Hart (Number One ong the Call Sheet, Love, Death and Robots) and SNL‘s cast member Marcello Hernandez (The Angry Birds Movie 3, Happy Gilmore 2). Slowikowska is also known for her sketch comedy on the social media sites Instagram and TikTok, which went viral.
Saturday Night Live is produced by Broadway Video and will return for season 51 on October 2, 2025, on NBC.
