Previously on Showtime’s Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) finally takes down the New York City serial killer, Ronald Schmidt, aka Red. Harrison (Jack Alcott) gets questioned by Detective Claudette (Kadia Saraf). Dexter fans got to reunite with Joey Quinn (Desmond Harrington) and Vince Masuka (C.S. Lee), who worked alongside Angel (David Zayas) and Dexter in Florida.
Dexter breaks into Ronald’s home, preparing for the serial killer dinner. Dexter’s father, Harry (James Remar), doesn’t want him to go. Harry tells him to be careful, and Dexter says, “I’m tired of being careful.” He doesn’t want Dexter to go back to his old ways, knowing he could have a second chance with Harrison.
Dexter wears Ronald’s hoodie as he gets picked up by Charley (Uma Thurman). They make it to their destination, and he uses his fake thumbprint to enter the elevator. He is introduced to the host of the dinner, Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage).
Leon shows him around, taking him to the wine cellar, where there’s a secret room behind one of the shelves. Leon has a collection of assorted serial killer memorabilia, including the costume of Pogo the Clown and Arthur Mitchell’s (John Lithgow) murder weapon. As Dexter takes another step, he sees his memorabilia, his blood strips from the FBI. Dexter touches them without thinking, immediately stopping when Leon asks him not to touch anything. After they make their rounds in the room, Dexter gives Leon one of Ronald’s trophies and puts them in his collection.
Dexter meets the other guests: Mia (Krysten Ritter), Al (Eric Stonestreet) aka “Rapunzel”, Lowell (Neil Patrick Harris), and Gareth (David Dastmalchian).
As Lowell shares who his next victim may be, Dexter makes Lowell his next target.
Back in the city, Angel finds Harrison at the hotel and introduces himself. Harrison thinks that Dexter was killed, and even though Angel knows he’s alive, he doesn’t say anything. Angel brings up the theory about Dexter being the “Bay Harbor Butcher,” and Harrison acts confused. Angel begs for his help, but Harrison continues to act as if he knows nothing, not trusting him.
As Harrison walks away, Elsa runs into him and notices Harrison’s mood. She then looks at Angel and goes over to him, thinking that he’s hassling Harrison about Ryan’s murder.
The next day, Dexter meets with Mia for a jog. He’s trying to get more information on Leon. Mia tells Dexter about her first kill. It was a man her mother was dating, a sexual predator, and her little sister was involved. That’s how she began killing predators.

Later, Dexter meets with Lowell for a drink. Lowell tells him that his next kill is tonight. Dexter now has to think of a new plan to stop Lowell.
Claudette does more investigating on Ryan and Harrison. Her partner, Detective Melvin (Dominic Fumusa) doesn’t think Harrison killed Ryan. As they discuss the investigation, Angel comes into the station asking for Claudette.
At night, Lowell follows his victim outside after she’s finished getting her tattoo. As Lowell is about to gas his victim, Dexter grabs him from behind. After going to a new destination, Dexter wraps Lowell in saran wrap and puts him on the table. Dexter tells Lowell who he really is, and Lowell freaks out, but before he can say anything, Dexter kills him.
Angel comes back to the hotel to talk to Harrison. Angel asks him about Ryan. Harrison still denies that he doesn’t know anything about the Bay Harbor Butcher or who killed Ryan.
Harrison walks to the police station to turn himself in for the murder and put it all to rest. But before he makes any further step, Dexter grabs him by the shoulder and tells him not to do it. Harrison is shocked, left speechless as he sees his dad, who he thought was dead.
Overall, this was a pretty good episode. Krysten Ritter’s character Mia, stands out from the others, seeming more “normal” than all of the other killers. It’s clear that there will be an interesting relationship formed between her and Dexter, the two of them already forming a connection. With Angel now being involved in the investigation, it will be hard for Harrison to ignore and avoid him and Detective Claudette. What will happen now that Dexter has finally talked to Harrison?
