Deadline has reported that Fox is looking to pack a punch with its new fall lineup. With the quick renewal of the British adaptation, and hit medical drama, Doc, and the launch of another British adaptation in the new game show 99 to Beat, they have plenty to attract new viewers and keep the current crowd.
Deadline also confirms that part of the shakeup is the addition of the NBC late-night game show hosted by Jane Lynch (Wreck-It Ralph, Paul), Weakest Link. The season premiere on Fox will have a slight twist as it will now be called Celebrity Weakest Link. The show will feature a new wave of fan-favorite celebrities and offer a one-million-dollar cash prize donation to charity. The show spent three seasons at NBC before it moved to its new home at Fox. Lynch has a long-running relationship with Fox, as she was a highly successful star on the hit show Glee. Opening up for the show will be the fifth season of Celebrity Name That Tune, hosted by Jane Krakowski (30 Rock, Ally McBeal) and Randy Jackson (Cool Runnings, American Idol) as the band leader in the 8 pm slot. Both shows will launch on September 15th.
According to Deadline, season two of Doc will launch September 23rd at 9 pm with season two of the Canadian series Murder in a Small Town going on before it. The new competition show 99 to Beat, hosted by Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Crazy Rich Asians) and Erin Andrews (Bless the Harts, That’s My Boy), will be launching on the 24th, also at 9 pm, with The Floor hosted by Rob Lowe (The Outsiders, Wayne’s World) preceding it.
Per Deadline, Fox’s famous Animation Domination will return with new episodes of The Simpsons at 8 PM and new episodes of Bob’s Burgers at 930 PM on Sunday, September 28th. Also returning for an impressive 25th season is the legendary Chef Gordon Ramsay (Smurfs: The Lost Village, Burnt) and his hit show Hell’s Kitchen, which will premiere September 25th at 8 PM.
