In an official press release from AMC public relations, it has been reported that during the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, AMC Networks presented a panel named “Vampires, Witches, and Other Secret Societies: Inside AMC’s Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe.” The panel featured producers from all three of the series within the Universe: Interview With A Vampire, Mayfair Witches, and The Talamasca: The Secret Order. The panel shared production and casting updates as well as a first look at Talamasca.
According to the press release, Talamasca will premiere this October on AMC and AMC+. First-look photos have been released and are included below. Starring in the show will be Celine Buckens (War Horse, Warrior), who plays the role of Doris, a determined sage who resides on a houseboat…with a coven of witches. SAG award nominee Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Moonrise Kingdom) has been cast for the role of Burton, a charming, sheltered vampire living the uptown highlife.

According to the press release, the panel also provided insights into the third season of Interview With A Vampire. The show is reported to resume production next month in Toronto. The third season will follow Sam Reid (Belle, Anonymous) as the Vampire Lestat and his bandmates on tour. Rotten Tomatoes has given the first two seasons of the series a coveted 98% rating.
The press release states that the panel then touched on the other adaptation of Anne Rice’s novels, Mayfair Witches. Also heading into its third season with Alexandria Dadarrio (Baywatch, San Andreas), the season will take place in the infamous Salem, MA, adding classic horror movie scenery and local legends to the show.
The Talamasca: the Secret Order will revolve around the secretive spy agency-style order tasked with accounting for and containing the vampires, witches, and any other creatures scattered throughout the world. Basically, the Men In Black, except for the supernatural. The show is set to be produced by AMC Studios.
