According to Deadline, after months of tantalizing teases and cryptic hints, the official trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again has been released. According to an mxdwn post, the trailer was originally supposed to be released on January 13. However, it was postponed due to concerns about the California wildfires, which series star Vincent D’Onofrio (Hawkeye) gave his honest opinion on.
According to Deadline, the trailer opens up with Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox (The Defenders), having a conversation with Wilson Fisk in a diner, discussing the rapid spread of violence. We also get to see new characters in the new series, such as White Tiger and a brand new villain that resembles Muse from the comics, whose actors are unknown. Fans see that chaos is ensuing within New York and that the only solution to solving it is an unlikely alliance between enemies to help get the city back to normal. It helps capture the gritty atmosphere and high-intensity action format of the previous Daredevil series.
According to Deadline, along with Cox and D’Onofrio, the trailer also showcases other familiar faces such as Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room), Foggy Nelson, played by Elden Henson (Jessica Jones) and Frank Castle, played by Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead). The series will be executively produced by Kevin Feige (The Avengers), Louis D’Esposito (The Marvels) and Brad Winderbaum (Black Widow). The episodes in the series will be directed by Justin Benson (Synchronic), Aaron Moorhead (The Resolution), Michael Cuesta (Homeland), Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor) and David Boyd (Deadwood).
Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to make its debut on Disney+ on March 4. While fans await further updates on the upcoming series, the previous series is available to stream on Netflix, as well as all others in the Marvel franchise.
