A major cast update for Ahsoka’s second season has arisen in regard to the character Baylan Skoll, played by the late Ray Stevenson(Thor), who passed away in 2023. According to Comicbook, it was reported in an interview with the series director, Dave Filoni (Star Wars Rebel), via Hollywood Reporter that the infamous Game of Thrones star, Rory McCann (Knuckles), known for being the Hound in the fantasy series will take over the role as the former Jedi Knight.
According to Comicbook, the last time that fans saw Baylan was in the finale, where he left his Palawan, Shin, played by Ivanna Sakhno (Pacific Rim Uprising), to look for a mysterious power mentioned in one of the Jedi’s old books. Fans could see a change in alliance with Baylan in the next season. We are sure to see him cross paths with iconic characters from previous seasons, such as Ahsoka, played by Rosario Dawson (Men in Black II), and Sabine, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Day Shift).
According to Comicbook, with Baylan being such an integral part of the series, along with Stevenson’s performance, which is a crucial reason why the character has captivated the attention of numerous viewers, it is expected that McCann will have big shoes to fill. The second season could introduce new characters that not only the protagonists but also the antagonists will encounter throughout, which will further connect to other installments of the franchise.
With the new casting announcement, anticipation for Ahsoka season two has reached a fever pitch. Fans are eager to see how McCann will portray the Star Wars character in this exciting new saga chapter. According to Comicbook, while waiting on further news surrounding the release and plot of the second season, the entire first of Ahsoka is available to stream on Disney+.
