Terry O’Quinn (Lost) will return to ABC with his starring role in family legal drama, The Adversaries.
The Lost and 666 Park Avenue alum has landed the male lead in a new pilot. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the drama explores what happens when the patriarch of a New York legal dynasty becomes involved in a trial of his own. The character is forcing his federal-prosecutor daughter to decide which side she will fight on.
O’Quinn’s character is Charlie, who is the head of law firm Fisher, Fisher and Herrero. He has a struggling relationship with both his oldest daughter Jess and his wife Katherine. They believe he had something to do with his son Kyle’s downward struggle and eventual death.
Charlie is arrested in connection with the Cooper Landings case, and his daughter Jess is convinced by her mother, Charlie’s wife, to lead his defense team. Embarrassment results from this case, for his family finds out about an affair and some financial woes.
David Zabel (ER) will write and executive produce the new ABC drama. The show will be filmed in Los Angeles. Stephen Cragg will direct The Adversaries.
Terry O’Quinn is represented by LBI Entertainment and Jackoway Tyerman.
