A live-action TV series based on the video game Halo is set to premiere in the fall of 2015 from producer Steven Spielberg.
According to Rolling Stone, the series will go along with the release of Halo 5: Guardians. Xbox Live network will be host to the series and will more than likely hope for the same success that the digital series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn saw. It too was released alongside the release of Halo 4. There is also a Halo film in the works from Alien director Ridley Scott. As of right now there is little information about the Halo series.
Halo first came out in 2001 and it inspired many cross-platform sequels in video games, novels, comics and more. In 2012, Halo 4 broke sales records by bringing in more than $300 million for the first week. This new series could put Xbox Live on the map and will have a better chance at competing with steaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.
